John M. Gillis, DMD

Dr. John M. Gillis is a Tempe Native who received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi before obtaining his Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Dr. Gillis then completed a one-year General Practice residency at Christiana Care Hospital in Wilmington, Delaware followed by a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Gillis holds medical staff privileges at the following hospitals: Banner Good Samaritan Hospital, Chandler Regional Hospital, Mercy Gilbert Hospital, St Josephs Hospital and Scottsdale Osborn Hospital.  Dr. Gillis is a faculty member of the Maricopa Integrated Surgical Residency Program - Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Services. Dr. Gillis' professional interests include dental implant surgery, jaw reconstruction, facial trauma, oral pathology, and wisdom tooth removal. He is also a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesia, is Board Certified in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, as well as a member of multiple professional medical and dental organizations. Dr. Gillis is married to Heather, a Nurse Anesthetist, who also works for a valley hospital as well as local surgical centers. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, running, and golfing.
