Affordable Dental Implants Can Last a Lifetime

oral surgery roomYour smile is one of your most important assets. If you’ve been hiding yours away because of missing teeth, the All-on-® procedure can help get it back for you. It’s fast, effective, and minimally-invasive, while also able to provide immediate results. Best of all, with the right care, your results can last a lifetime.

Tips on Proper Care

While most understand that dental implants are not dentures, you’d be surprised at just how many believe that they should be cared for in a similar manner. However, All-on-4 dental implants are more similar to your natural teeth, and thus should be maintained the same way. Just adhere to the following advice, and these affordable dental implants will continue to bolster your smile for years to come:

Brushing: Your gums, jaw bone, and general treatment area might be slightly sensitive immediately following your procedure. Use an antibacterial mouthwash or gel for the first day or two in lieu of brushing. When you are able to brush again, use a softer toothbrush on the temporary tooth implants. Once your permanent set of teeth is place, go back to brushing like you did before.
Toothpaste: The right toothpaste can continue to halt plaque buildup even after you’re done brushing. When selecting your toothpaste, be sure to read the active ingredients carefully to ensure that what you’re buying is truly antibacterial.
Flossing: Everyone knows that flossing is important. However, many find it difficult and/or time consuming and thus emit it from their oral hygiene routine. If you want your implants to stand up to everyday use, flossing is vital. Simply get a 12-18 inch section of floss, wrap it around your index fingers until only 2-3 inch is exposed, and then move it up and down the interdental spaces of your teeth. Use a new strand of floss for each tooth.

The All-on-4 procedure can give you back the smile that you lost in just one visit. Yet proper care and treatment is needed in order to make those results last. We at the Oral and Facial Surgeons of Arizona are here to provide that treatment, plus help guide you in your continued care and maintenance of your implants.
